Musing Mondays

Musing Mondays is a meme hosted by Should Be Reading

This week's musing is a random rant about books/reading.

Last week I heard about a new book; We Were Liars by E. Lockhart. I've never heard of this author before, but based on the description of this book, I want to get my hands on a copy as soon as possible.

Also, it seems that every book-tuber and people with Twitter only have high praises for this book.

Here's the snippet from Goodreads:

    A beautiful and distinguished family.
    A private island.
A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy.
A group of four friends—the Liars—whose friendship turns destructive.
A revolution. An accident. A secret.
    Lies upon lies.
    True love.
    The truth.

We Were Liars is a modern, sophisticated suspense novel from National       Book Award finalist and Printz Award honoree E. Lockhart.

    Read it.
And if anyone asks you how it ends, just LIE.

I do enjoy a good mystery.

I'm thinking this plot might be something along the lines of The Secret History by Donna Tartt. But maybe since it's for a younger demographic, it might be a little less heavy.

We Were Liars will be available on May 13th, 2014.

Are you intrigued? Would you pick up We Were Liars? or Have you read it already?

Musing Mondays

This week's musing asks:

Describe one of your reading habits.

I get most of my reading done in transit. I take the train everywhere and I really like spending my commute reading. I read while I wait for the train and while on the train.

I also spend my break time reading. I usually have my Kindle with me and it's really easy to just pick up where I left off. And of course, I read in bed. I think it's the best way to unwind. After hours in front of the computer and looking at my phone, picking up a book is very relaxing.

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT. I want to know your answer to this week's Musing Mondays.

Thanks!

Musing Mondays

This week's musing asks:

What are you currently reading? And, is it better, as good as, or worse than your last read?

from goodreads.com
I'm currently reading Atonement by Ian McEwan. I've had it on my to-read list for years and I've only picked up a copy now.

I have only read a couple of chapters but I really like it so far.

It's obviously very different from my last read, The Maze Runner, which was a young adult novel with a plot shrouded in mystery and set in a dystopian world. That being said, I can't really compare these two books as far as which is better or worse.

Atonement is not a fast read. But it is a good story about love, loss, truth, lies, and imagination. And I'm enjoying it so far.

Have you read Atonement
What did you think of it?
If you haven't read it, is it on your to-read list?

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT. I want to know your answer to this week's Musing Mondays.

Thanks!
